Sunday Worship

Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. When you walk into the small chapel, you will be welcomed by warm and friendly people! Grab some coffee or tea and enjoy a few minutes of relaxed conversation. If you have children, someone will guide you to the children's area where you will be greeted by loving teachers. By 9:15 for the first service or 11:15 for the second service, you will want to find a seat in the worship room. The band will lead a few songs, then one of our ministers will teach on a relevant topic from Scripture for about 30 minutes followed by Communion, which is open to all Christ followers, and offering. The service usually lasts around an hour.

At 10:30, Bible study classes are offered for all children and adults.

We hope during your time at Journey that you will experience the joy, hope, and love that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.

Worship

Worship is more than just singing.  It is offering ourselves completely to God in everything we say and do (Romans 12:1).  Worship is expressing gratitude for God's unlimited patience, unconditional love and caring involvement in our lives.  We worship through song, study, service and prayer.

Teaching from Scripture

Practical, relevant teaching is the catalyst for transformation in an individual's life. Scripture is inspired by God, completely accurate and trustworthy.  It is the authority regarding Christian beliefs and the guide for Christian living.

Journey values Scripture—the Bible—as the basis for understanding who God is and how to orient our lives fully around Him.  Each Sunday morning you will hear how God's timeless Word applies to our lives today.

Sunday Bible Studies and Groups for Children, Teens, and Adults meet from 10:30-11:00 a.m.

  • Pathways

Jesus gave us the Great Commission just before He ascended into heaven.  It was His final charge to the disciples He had been training over four years.  It would be their purpose statement and ours as well.  The command was to make disciples.  The method was two-fold: baptizing and teaching.  When we lead someone to Christ and they are baptized into Him, we're halfway there.  We must then teach them to obey the teachings of Jesus.  The Pathways class is intended to do just that.

The class is divided into four sections: Know, Grow, Serve and Go.  The first four lessons will help new Christians know what we believe.  The next three cover how one can grow in his/her relationship with the Lord.  The next three equip and encourage Christ-followers to serve in His Kingdom.  The go lessons will be taught separately in the Relational Evangelism course.

  • Engage Student Ministries

    Engage...the Word...the Spirit...the Community.

Engage is designed as a place for middle and and high schoolers to connect with each other, learn scripture and valuable truths, and be equipped to go out and truly make a difference in the world.  Every Sunday morning, the youth will explore God's word together, and look at its impact on our lives!

  • Powerzone

This exciting half hour is specifically designed to give your children a more interactive and hands-on learning experience. Whether writing letters to soldiers, helping create care packages for missionaries, or building crafts for those in nursing home care, PowerZone is a place where we can learn in a practical, mission-minded way how to be the hands and feet of Jesus!

PowerZone is designed with 5th grade and under in mind.
